The old town of Morlaix is 20 minutes drive away. Situated in a deep gorge, it’s 17th century houses are steeped in history, and it’s huge Saturday market is a wonderful source of local organic produce. In July and August there is a colourful free festival of street theatre and performance art. The nearby town of Plougasnou has a thriving Tuesday market with excellent local produce, as do many of the towns in the region. Nearby can be found horse-riding, diving, tennis, wind surfing and sailing. There are numerous restaurants and bars in all of the local towns, perhaps the best being in the port of Locquirec some 15 minutes to the east.
